Diana Dill serves as the Program Administrator for Take Stock in Children of Manatee County. The college scholarship and mentor program for students in grades 6 through 12 attending the public schools. Her responsibilities include scholarship management, student advocacy, fundraising, and mentor recruitment and development.

Diana moved to Florida from Michigan in 1992 after graduating from Spring Arbor University in Management. She worked in the financial services industry for several years including investment management, banking and residential mortgages. Her nonprofit career began for R'Club Childcare in Pinellas County where she served as the Public Relations Director. Diana has volunteered with the Manatee County School District for many years. She has served as School Advisory Chairperson, PTO Vice President, and on the Closing the Achievement Gap Task Force. Her volunteer work also includes serving on the County Commissioner's Advisory Board and Woodland Baptist Church Early Childhood Center Board of Directors.

Since 1998, Diana has lived in Manatee County with her husband, Drew. They have two children, David and Sarah, attending Braden River Middle and Braden River Elementary schools. The family enjoys motocross riding and camping together on the weekends.

Laurie Hagberg is the Development Director for ArtCenter Manatee. Laurie Hagberg returned to the West Coast of Florida after serving as the CEO of the American Red Cross in Vero Beach, for the past eight years. Laurie and her husband lived on Longboat Key throughout the eighties.

Laurie assumed the position as Development Director for ArtCenter Manatee in August of 2006. She is the organization's chief fundraiser. Her focus is on building positive relationships with individuals, foundations, corporations and businesses; working to form mutually beneficial partnerships to enhance the quality of life in Manatee County and beyond through the visual arts.

Laurie recently joined the Lakewood Ranch Rotary Club but has been a Rotarian for twenty years and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Her original club in Duluth, MN (her husband's home town, brrrrrrrr) is where the Rotary wheel was designed and Rotary went international. Most recently, Laurie was President-elect and a charter member of the Orchid Island Rotary Club, in Vero Beach.

On a personal note, Laurie is married to author David Hagberg; they have four children and four grandchildren. Laurie and David have sailed the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, and the Gulf of Mexico. Laurie was born in Milwaukee, WI. But her parents moved to Palo Alto, CA when she was six-weeks old, so she considers herself a Californian. She likes to read, travel, sail and enjoys time with family and friends.

In addition to being a Rotarian, Laurie is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Manatee County Chamber of Commerce and the Planned Giving Council.

Will Fleet is the President and Publisher of the Bradenton Herald. William H. Fleet joined the Bradenton Herald in 2006 from California, where he was a group publisher for Times Community News, overseeing five Los Angeles Times-owned community newspapers in the Los Angeles basin.

Fleet was publisher of The Signal in Santa Clarita, CA through most of the 1990s, and the Santa Barbara News-Press from 2001-2003.

Fleet has a long history of community involvement. His projects include a non-profit organization he founded in 1996 called the Santa Clarita Valley Press Club, which has raised more than $180,000 in First Amendment scholarships for high school graduates.

He served as president of the Glendale Scholarship Endowment, which provides scholarships to high-achieving youth who come from difficult circumstances.

He was president of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Foundation. Fleet was the 2005-2006 president of the California Newspaper Publishers Association.

Will and his wife, Jennifer, live in the Panther Ridge area of Manatee County with their dog, two cats and two horses.

Jeannie Kawcak, Special Events Coordinator, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Florida Suncoast Chapter.

Jeannie has been with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for just over a year and her primary function is to plan and coordinate all fundraising events for the local chapter. The Florida Suncoast of JDRF encompasses from Manatee County south to Marco Island.

The largest fundraising event is the Walk to Cure Diabetes and are held in Sarasota, Bradenton/Ellenton and Ft. Myers. In 2006, these three Walks raised over $491,000 generously exceeding in the goal. The chapter goal for the 2007 Walks to Cure Diabetes is $526,000 of which the Manatee Walk goal is $180,000.

A native of Brush, Colorado, Jeannie has lived in Bradenton for 15 years. She has three children and one brand-new grandchild!

Patricia Canfield, CEO of deCamville Design, Inc. is fundraising for Habitat For Humanity by offering to speak to our organization with 100% of the proceeds donated to the charity. Ms. Canfield's topic emphasizes the importance of designing the environments in which we live, work, and play so that they provide us with a sense of well-being, balance and harmony for gracious living. Patricia holds a BFA in Design from Carnegie Mellon University with a concentration in Architecture, and offers over 20 years of design experience specializing in color theory and psychology. Her partner, architect Jack Wilson, volunteers as a crew leader at Habitat's Jordan's Crossing construction site three days a week. Patricia is involved in fundraising, and also donates her paintings to each new homeowner. In addition to painting, her many interests include cooking, piano, reading and writing.

Carron C. Cherrie Ph.D., A.R.N.P, Sr. Associate Black Diamond Associates, is a quality facilitator who coaches individuals, businesses and healthcare organizations to achieve improved results. With dynamic and results-focused energy, she works with individuals and teams to accomplish organizational, professional and personal goals. Carron is particularly interested in working with women in business. Prior to joining Black Diamond Associates as a Senior Associate in January 2007, Carron spent 25 years in nursing practice in diverse roles. She has extensive experience in human resource development in healthcare organizations, nursing education and research, group facilitation, training, team building, and public speaking.

Jim Henry. Jim was born in rural Florida in the mid-thirties. After serving in the infantry in Korea, he graduated from the University of Florida College of Engineering. He first retired from professional engineering in 1985, but has twice been enticed to return to the work force. He retired for the third, and last, time in October, 2001, but is still active on special projects. He and his wife, Jean, travel extensively, frequently staying in private homes.

Jim, using his laptop, takes notes to use in pursuit of his avocation - writing.Jim remains active in his community. He has served with many community organizations, most notably the Sarasota Education Foundation. He is an active Rotarian, is a Paul Harris Fellow several times over, and served as Governor of Rotary District 6960 in 2003-2004.

A minimum of 25 percent of the profit from Jim's books goes to Rotary projects local and International, The Education Foundation of Sarasota County, North United Methodist Church and The University of Florida.


The water system our club sponsored supplies access to free safe water for between 15,000 and 20,000 Nigerians in the village of Abule Oja in Lagos State.

Marie Pender, Vice President of Membership Development and Services for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce. Marie is responsible for the attraction and retention of members. She manages events such as Business After Hours, Coffee Clubs and golf tournaments that provide quality networking among Chamber members. Annual trade shows offer exposure and create opportunities for members to promote their business products. In addition, Marie oversees the Chamber's Business Against Narcotics and Drugs Program and is responsible for the activities of the Better Business Council (BBC).

Ron Heller graduated from UCLA in 1960… U.S. Army, 1961-62…Attended graduate school at Michigan State University in 1963 and 64. After a career in professional baseball shortened by injuries and the military draft, Ron became a sports announcer on radio and TV.

He became co-owner of Alexander and Heller, advertising in 1964 in Lansing Michigan with offices in Detroit, Lansing and Flint Michigan.

As a professional sports announcer and spokesman for various major concerns such as Lincoln-Mercury, Ron covered various major sporting events and product shows in all sports but golf became his specialty.

In 1983, Ron moved his advertising and production offices to Florida. At the same time he began writing, producing and hosting a (30) minute golf TV show that was syndicated throughout Florida and anchored in Orlando. Ron continued GOLF IS OUR GAME for 20 years. The TV show concluded in 2003.

Ron then authored a book on golf entitled, GOLF IS OUR GAME the tongue-in-cheek, quite humorous book based on Ron's years watching, listening to and video taping golfers of all types over the 20 years. Thousands of golfers and would-be golfers have enjoyed the book since it was published in 2003.

Ron's latest work, a book entitled "Three Minutes that are Simply Fascinating" is a synthesis of some of the world's greatest scientific minds made understandable with Ron's refreshing humorous and noteworthy analysis and explanation.

Douglas Schiller, Community Development Specialist, Arthritis Foundation. Arthritis Foundation efforts center on the three-fold mission of the organization: research, prevention and quality of life. The Arthritis Foundation currently provides nearly $20 million in grants to nearly 300 researchers to help find a cure, prevention or better treatment for arthritis. The Arthritis Foundation’s sponsorship of research for more than 50 years has resulted in major treatment advances for most arthritis diseases.

The Arthritis Foundation also provides a large number of community-based services nationwide to make life with arthritis easier, including:

*Self-help courses
*Water and land-based exercise classes
*Home study groups
*Instructional videotapes
*Public forums
*A wide variety of free educational brochures and booklets
*The national, bimonthly consumer magazine Arthritis Today *Continuing education courses and publications for health professionals

Arthritis Foundation volunteers serve as advocates to local and national governments on behalf of the nearly 70 million Americans with arthritis and chronic joint symptoms. Their successes include the federal establishment of a national institute for arthritis among the National Institutes of Health, increased federal funding for arthritis research and state funding for arthritis medications. An Arthritis Foundation telephone and e-mail information service answers questions from more than 140,000 people per year.

Ken Burton Jr. was elected Manatee County Tax Collector in 1993. Prior to his election as Tax Collector, he served as data processing administrator for the Tax Collector's office from 1985-1992. He is a Certified Florida Tax Collector (CFC) through the Florida Department of Revenue and is the President-elect of the Florida Tax Collector's Association (FTCA). He served as Treasurer of the FRCA for six years.

Active in the community, Ken is a member of the Gillette First Baptist Church, serves on the Palmetto Christian School Board of Advisors, is a member of the Business Advisory Board of Palmetto High School. He is an ordained Baptist Deacon and served an at-large member of the 4-H Foundation for many years. He has coached little league for nearly twenty years, and was the punter/kicker for the Manatee Gladiators semi-professional football team in its inaugural year. The Gladiators is a non-profit organization that benefits area youth.

Not only does Ken believe in giving back to the community, he encourages his staff to be involved as well. Senior management have earned the Certified Florida Collector Assistants (CFCA) designation, are Leadership Manatee graduates and serve on church, civic organizations and community boards, as well as coach and help in area sports. Among the charities and organizations the office staff has volunteered time for are Adopt-a-family, the Manatee County Fair; Care Net Manasota Pregnancy Center, Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary, Sarasota Pops, Prevent Blindness, Gold Star Club, United Way and West Bradenton Kiwanis.

Ken is married to his high school sweetheart Shelly Bustle. They have three children, Ashley 20, Chad19 and James 11.

Leah Barber-Heinz works as the Communications Director for the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR). FCHR is the state agency which enforces the state's civil rights laws and works to prevent discrimination through education and outreach. Leah is a devoted advocate for social change on behalf of vulnerable populations. Leah has dedicated the last decade to working toward the betterment of the quality of life and equal access for all people. Through her legislative advocacy and political communications work, she has been successful in influencing the direction of public policy on behalf of various groups.

Herbie Rose, Herbie graduated, Cum Laude, from the New York Phoenix School of Design, and he took post graduate courses at Pratt Institute. The artist worked in the advertising field, honing his skills in technical rendering and designing. His accounts included Colgate Palmolive, Texaco, Sherwin Williams Paints and Hertz.

In 1968, he opened his own gallery in Port Antonio, Jamaica. There he worked mainly in oil and acrylic to portray the people and scenes of his native Portland parish. His watercolor career began after meeting Tony van Hasselt. This meeting resulted in Herbie's introduction to and instruction from other fine artists such as John Pike, Herb Olsen, Ed Whitney, Tom Hill and Robert Wood. Working closely with these fine painters, Rose had the opportunity to see how the same subject can be handled in many different ways and styles.

Moving to Sarasota/Bradenton, Herbie soon became well-known for his Florida scenes with a Caribbean flair, his flamboyant style has earned him many ribbons. In 1985 he designed a prize-winning poster for Murray-Chris-Craft celebrating their centennial. This poster was later used to promote the restoration of the Statue of Liberty.

His paintings and prints are part of collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, and were used to promote Jamaica during the Summer Games 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. Rose teaches classes at the Ringling School of Art and Design in the Continuing Education Program and the Manatee Art League. He provides private instruction in his studio, and he returns to Jamaica annually to conduct a workshop.

Dave Auker, Owner of The Growth Coach. Dave is a former Corporate Sports Executive with over 20 years of business experience serving the Detroit Pistons, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. His primary focus has been in business operations, sales, marketing, public and community relations.

As the owner of The Growth Coach, Auker coaches small business owners, entrepreneurs, self-employed professionals, and corporate managers to map out the critical changes necessary to improve their businesses and lives. He utilizes a proven process developed over 15 years and instituted with over 500 companies.

Dave uses the professional sports coaching strategies he observed from coaching icons like Lou Piniella, Lenny Wilkens and Chuck Daly (while together during the back to back NBA championships of the Detroit Pistons). This combination of athletic coaching excellence and the highly successful Strategic Mindset process of The Growth Coach make for a winning combination for his clients.

Auker is a graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration. He lives in Bradenton, Florida with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys kayaking, tennis, jogging and his dog Baxter.

Steve Williams, Senior District Executive, Boy Scouts of America, Southwest Florida District, Fort Myers.

Steve spent the majority of his younger years in Roswell, Georgia, and graduated from John S. Shaw High School in Mobile, Alabama. He attended the University of North Alabama, were he graduated in 1994, with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice.

Steve started his career with the Boy Scouts in the Greater Alabama Council, and moved to the Southwest Florida Council in March of 2005 as District Executive.

Steve, his wife Darbi and their two children; Tyler and Morgan Kate live in Bradenton. For relaxation he likes to fish, hunt or watch movies.

Charlie Hackney, Manatee County Property Appraiser, has brought over twenty years of professional real estate appraisal experience to the Manatee County Property Appraiser's Office.

He was elected to the position of Property Appraiser in 1992. He holds the Certified Florida Appraiser (CFA) designation from the Florida Department of Revenue. He is a member and past president of the Florida Association of Property Appraisers, a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, and he has also been an SRA Member, Appraisal Institute from 1985 - 2004.

Charlie has committed himself to running the Property Appraiser's Office as efficiently and in as cost effective a manner as possible in order to save taxpayers' money while at the same time providing the best possible quality service to our citizens.

Charlie is a lifelong Floridian and has attended Manatee Junior College and Florida State University. He has served on the Manatee Community College Board of Trustees, Kiwanis Club of Bradenton Board of Directors as past president and Manatee Community College Foundation. He is a former Hernando de Soto and Bradenton Jaycee member.

He and his wife, Niki, reside in Ellenton.

Christina M. Parrott, CIC, CITRMS, is self-employed as an insurance agent in Parrish, Florida, specializing in life, health, and related employee benefits. Actively serving the insurance industry for over 25 years, she has been a Certified Insurance Counselor since 1984. She is an associate with PrePaid Legal Services, Inc., which markets the most comprehensive Identity Theft protection plan in the country. She has obtained the designation of Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist from the Institute of Fraud Management. Chris has worked with hundreds of insurance agents in Florida and Georgia as an employee benefits sales and service counselor.

She has spoken before citizen groups and employer groups regarding the timely subject of Identity Theft. She brings a lively and factual perspective to her presentations, while serving the purpose of educating the public on the growing concerns of Identity Theft.

Chris has 3 children, Leah, Dory, and Simon, and 4 grandchildren, ages 12, 10 and 2 and a newborn July 18. She has a 4 year old Cairn Terrier, Sweetie. Chris enjoys travel, golf, swimming, hiking in the mountains, museums, reading, and projects around the home.

Rod Thomson, has 25 years of newspaper experience, having written for the Winona Daily News in Minnesota, the Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He was a reporter for 8 years at the Herald-Tribune, covering education, county government and as a special projects reporter beginning in 1992, before being a columnist for six years from 2000 to 2006. He became Executive Editor of the Gulf Coast Business Review in January 2006 and has overseen an expansion in circulation and size of the weekly publication, which covers from Tampa Bay south to Naples.

In 2000, Rod resigned from full-time work at the Herald-Tribune to run a clean water well-drilling ministry to Haiti. It was during the following six years that he also wrote the twice weekly Herald-Tribune column and freelanced for Gulfshore Business in Naples. He has also written for Florida Trend, People Magazine, the New York Times, Picture Week, Focus on the Family and other national publications. Rod also has one book published entitled "Living Water: Hudson Taylor and the Call of Inland China," which Christian Literature Crusade put out in 2001.

Rod has been married to Kim Thomson for 27 years on Thursday. They have eight children and one grandchild, all in Sarasota.

Nathaniel Miller is the nephew of one of our members, Jeff Higgins. Palmetto Rotary recently assisted Nathaniel with funds for a trip to Washington D.C. He would like to share his experiences while in D.C. Nathaniel is a 4th generation native Floridian and is going into the 6th grade this fall.

Born and raised in Orlando Florida, Dr. Roger Dearing has served in Florida's public school system for 37 years. During that time, he has held the positions of classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent and, for the past 14 years, superintendent. Roger assumed the position of Manatee County Superintendent of Schools on July 1, 2003.

As a classroom teacher, Roger was twice named "Teacher of the Year". As an administrator, he received the "Outstanding Young Educator Award"; was given the Orlando Business Journal's "Up and Comers Award"; was three times named Osceola County's "Administrator of the Year"; was recipient of "Best Business Practices in Government Award" from the Taxpayers Association of Indian River County; and was honored as "Outstanding Alumnus" from the University of Central Florida's College of Education for the First Quarter of a Century.

Roger earned an A.A. degree at Orlando Junior College; a Bachelor's Degree in Math from the University of Central Florida; a Master's in Math from UCF, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration & Supervision-Leadership from UCF.

Roger is past President of the Florida Association of District School Superintendents, past President of Florida State Music Association, and is a member of the Florida High School Activities Association Board of Directors. He and his wife, Candace (an elementary school principal in Sarasota County and the 1987 Florida Teacher of the Year), live in Bradenton. He enjoys reading, golf, genealogy, and scuba diving, as well as spending time with his son and daughter, who are both grown and also live in Florida.

Deborah Houston and Nancy Porter, Tillman Elementary School.

Deborah Houston, Principal, is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Relations and a minor in Education. She received an M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She has 19 years of teaching experience teaching grades K,1, 2, and 4. She has 6 years administrative experience and is in her fifth year as Principal of Tillman Elementary School. Ms. Houston is certified in Early Childhood, ESOL endorsed, Clinical Teaching endorsed, Principal I and II, and Ed Leadership. She was voted Teacher of the Year of Manatee Elementary School in 1997, and nominated Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Ms. Houston brings with her a love for learning and for children. She holds a strong sense of loyalty and commitment to the vision of Tillman Elementary Magnet School. Ms. Houston feels strongly about encouraging and modeling team building among the staff. Ms. Houston's previous teaching experience was in a low performing Title I school and she brought that knowledge base with her to assist in raising the performance level of the students at Tillman Elementary Magnet. Ms. Houston is a proponent of continuing education and lends herself to many learning opportunities, through inservices, workshops and conferences.

Nancy O. Porter grew up in Manatee County and has been a Palmetto resident for 36 years. Her two daughters both graduated from Palmetto High School, the BEST High School North of the River! She is currently the School Improvement Director at James A. Tillman Elementary Magnet School. She attended Ballard and Orange Ridge Elementary schools and is a graduate of Southeast High School and Manatee Junior College. From there she attended and graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In 2000 she graduated as part of the Millennium Teacher Program with a Masters in Varying Exceptionalities, also from South Florida. She has been with the MCSD for 22 years, working first as a teacher assistant, then upon earning her Bachelor's degree, as the Parent Education Specialist for the Title I Program. In 1996 she went to work for the Region IV Technical Assistance Center as a Program Specialist, and upon it's closing to PHS as the Career Connections Coordinator. Beginning her sixth year at Tillman, she continues to work closely with business partners. In 2001 and 2006 Nancy was the recipient of the School Business Partner Coordinator Award.

Steve Tyndal is a native Floridian -- born in Winter Haven -- and has lived in Manatee County 26 years, moving here from Miami. There he worked in Florida Power and Light's corporate communications department, and served Bradenton's Tropicana as its manager of Public Relations. He presently is Port Manatee's senior director of trade development and special projects. Steve earned a degree in journalism from the University of Florida; is certified as a Professional Port Manager® by the American Association of Port Authorities; he is a two-time president of the Port Manatee Propeller Club and serves on a number of government, community service and professional committees and boards.

Ellen Campbell is the President/CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. Ellen is originally from New Jersey and moved to Bradenton in 1974. After moving to Bradenton, Ellen received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida and her M.B.A. from Nova University, Sarasota Cluster, Florida. While working on her education Ellen also held various professional positions. She started her career working in finance, first at the Bradenton Sarasota Airport Authority and then at Barnett Bank. In 1989 Ellen started working for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee as the Fiscal Director, then as the Assistant Executive Director and her present position as President/CEO.

Ellen's affiliations include: Meals on Wheels Association of America, National Association of Nutrition Aging Service Providers, Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Florida Council on Aging, Florida Association of Aging Service Providers, Florida Association of Senior Nutrition Providers, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Leadership Manatee Additionally. Ellen serves on the Board of Directors for Manatee Educational Television and the Senior Advisory Board. Ellen is married to Bruce Campbell with two grown children: Brian, who lives in Virginia and Kelly who lives in Florida with her husband and five beautiful children.

Kim has been a resident, of Bradenton, since 1968. (She has been catching frogs here at the Country Club since she was a child.) Kim and her husband, Dwight, reside in NW Bradenton. Her parents are Dr. and Mrs. Chet Baran, and she has two boys Matthew 12 yrs. and Christopher 9 yrs. Kim is a 1985 graduate of Manatee High School.

Melinda Thompson, Executive Director-Manatee Children's Services: Melinda holds a B.A. in Human Services and 19 years of experience in social services with 11 years working in an administrative capacity in Manatee County. She is a nine-year employee of Manatee Children's Services having served as the Emergency Shelter Director before her promotion to Executive Director in 2000. Since that time, the MCS team has purchased and licensed Manatee's first three group homes for children in long term foster care, expanded the Emergency Shelter Program, developed a partnership with the University of South Florida and Florida State University that offers internships to students majoring in Social Work, and opened a Thrift Shop that provides all agency clients with access to free household goods, children's items and clothing necessities. In July of 2006, Manatee Children's Services successfully achieved national accreditation status from the Council on Accreditation for demonstrating a commitment to best practice standards in all organizational aspects including service provision, human relations and fiscal administration.

Mark Runnals is the current president of the Artists Guild of Manatee, Inc. He has severed several terms as past president and has helped guide the Guild through many of the community projects and events held in the Village of the Arts. The Artists Guild serves as the parent organization of the gallery/studio owners in the Village of the Arts District. He works closely with the City of Bradenton and other arts organizations in the Downtown area. He helped to start the Emerging Artists Competion which is currently in its sixth year. Mark is a self taught potter who works in wheel thrown highfire stoneware, his work is deeply carved with geometric designs and figures. His work is in private collections troughout the United States and Mexico. A resent exhibition of Mark's scultural work representing the male form received rave reviews. He throws bowls yearly for the Empty Bowls fund raiser for Meals on Wheels and is active within the community. Mark works for the Florida Department of Agriculture and spends his vacation time in Cuernavaca Mexico where he has seond home.

Ron Miller was born in Miami, Florida, raised in Tennessee, educated at the University of Tennessee (B.S. Engineering), but received his "doctorate" while traveling throughout the world. He has lived in several states including Florida, North Carolina, Utah, and Colorado before settling down in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Ron has spent more than three years traveling to the hidden corners of the planet, revealing an eye for the beauty, culture, and history of the places he visits. He is a member of the Knoxville Writers' Guild, Tennessee Mountain Writers, Toastmasters International, and the Sierra Club.

Ron Miller's passion for travel has been motivated by a desire to further his understanding of human nature and spirituality. Although Ron initially set off merely to explore the world's greatest attractions, he quickly found that the fascinating people left the greatest impressions. Ron's personal encounters with a variety exotic cultures and dynamic personalities have allowed him to uncover the root causes for many of the world's social and economic ills as well as gain insight into the essence of humanity.

Raymond Woodie Jr. was born and raised in Palmetto, Florida. His parents are Raymond Sr. & Linda Woodie who still live here in Palmetto. He has one sister Jacinda Woodie who will be earning a Doctorate in Pharmacy in April 2008. He also has a brother Darryl Woodie who is the Community Directory at Buchanan Jenkins. He and his wife Stephanie Woodie have been happily married for 8 ˝ years. She has been teaching in Manatee County for seven years. They have two children a son Raymond Woodie III, 7 years old who attends Palmetto Christian School and a daughter Alanah Woodie who is 3 years old.

He is presently the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Palmetto High School. They are working on one of the best seasons in school history. They are guaranteed a play off spot. As the Athletic Director, his mission is to build Character Athletics, meaning building a program that enhances both the physical and educational life of students and coaches. This is the single best way to promote the mission of the school and achieve success on and off the field.

Brian Badger started his successful career in the fitness industry over seven years ago, and has truly worked his way from the ground up. Brian's first position was at Gold's Gym, Manchester, NH, where he worked in the Customer Service department. After only a few short months, he was quickly promoted to a Fitness Counselor (sales) position. Here, Brian established himself as a top notch sales associate. Again, after a short period, Brian ascended the ranks and was promoted to Membership Director.

After gaining practical, hands on experience, and a thorough knowledge and understanding of the operations of the business, Brian was once again promoted. This time, Brian was advanced to the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. As Regional Director, Brian managed dozens of employees, and oversaw the sales operations of four clubs.

During Brian's tenure, he designed and implemented the sales strategy for the opening of three clubs in New England. These clubs include; Workout Club and Wellness Center, Answer is Fitness, and Gold's Gym. Brian's personalized marketing and presales structures for these companies netted over 4000 members, including an amazing 1000 members in the first month during the Gold's Gym presale. Brian's success eventually landed him the position of Vice President of Sales. Brian has also acted as the Regional Fitness Director to four Gold's Gyms, having increased personal training sales by over 100%. He is ACE and ISSA certified, as well as APEX Nutrition certified. Brian currently resides in Bradenton, FL.

Chris Teale graduated #1 from the Mount Ida School of Business in 2002. While at Mount Ida, Chris excelled as an NCAA Men's Varsity Basketball player. After graduation, Chris worked as a commercial real estate sales/leasing associate in Boston, MA for one year. He worked in direct cooperation with large corporations, locating suitable commercial space for their operations. After a successful year in the real estate field, Chris was accepted to the University of Miami School of Law. While at UM, Chris created Chris Teale Enterprises. Chris Teale Enterprises (CTE) operated as a medical and health products wholesaler in the South Florida region. CTE established a working relationship with larger wholesalers in the region, including American Diabetes Wholesalers and MC Diabetics, and eventually merged with ADW.

Chris graduated from UM Law in December, 2006. He is an avid high altitude mountaineer, having climbed over eighty five mountains in North and Central America. Chris is a fitness and running enthusiast, and avid scuba diver.
